The
Diski Dance, the official dance of the 2010 World Cup,
was choreographed by Wendy Romokgadi to reflect South
Africa's unique football-playing style.
'Diski' is township slang for 'soccer
ball'. Each movement in the dance captures an aspect
of the game, with names - in Zulu, Tswana, Sotho and
English - like the Tsamaya, the Teka and the Table Mountain,
to name but a few.

Venn
Nemeth and Hart directors and staff have recently taken
to meeting in the car park on Friday afternoons to practice
the Diski, led by our intrepid IT Manager, Trevor Chetty.
Incidentally, Trevor has been appointed to FIFA's IT
Media and Telecommunications Support Team as a volunteer.
You'll hear more about Trevor's experiences at Moses
Mabida stadium in our next Law Letter. |
