Vumani Msimang recently joined Venn Nemeth and Hart as an attorney in our Public Law Department.
Vumani’s areas of speciality include environmental law, planning law and health and safety. He lectured at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Durban campus during 2009 and is presently completing a dissertation toward an LLM in Environmental Law at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Vumani has experience in legal compliance audits, preparing legal registers and providing legal advice and support on license or permit applications such as waste management licenses and, municipal permits. Vumani also has expertise in conducting environ-mental impact assessments, co-ordinating discussion and public participation in relation to draft bills and policies and conducting appeals before the local and provincial planning law structures.
Vumani is a farm boy having grown up in rural Umzinto in the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal and he enjoys spending his spare time there. Vumani enjoys watching sport, listening to music and is also a serious car fanatic.
